Leaps and Bounds Pre-K Schedule

7:00-8:30 – Sign in, breakfast, and free choice centers.

8:45-9:10 – Circle time – good morning song, rules, calendar, weather, and 100 days of school count down. Intro to the day’s activities and special events coming up. Theme-related activity.

9:15-10:00 – Reading and writing learning activities – small group instruction of letter activities, letter writing, learning to write name, and pre-k sight word activities.

10:05-10:30 – Enrichment program – Monday – Music, Tuesday – STEM/STEAM Club, Wednesday – Art, Thursday – STEM/STEAM CLub, and Friday – Physical Fitness.

10:35-11:10 – Math learning activities – small group instruction of number recognition, counting skills, number writing, and other math pre-k concepts such as more and less, number order, graphing, shapes, etc.

11:15-11:40 – Gross motor – gross motor activities in the gym, on the playground, or in the classroom – depending on the weather.

11:45-12:15 – Lunch – lunch and fellowship time.

12:30-2:20 – Rest and relaxation – bring in your child’s favorite blanket and a soft stuffed animal. A busy box activity will be given to those children who do not nap during this period.

2:30-3:00 – Snack time – The class will be provided with a healthy snack and they will be given the opportunity to fellowship with peers.

3:00-3:30 – Story, songs and behavior – The class will learn a wide range of stories and listen to pre-k songs. We will go over the behavior for the day to see if the class will earn two marbles in the jar.

3:30-4:00 – Centers – free choice centers.

4:00-6:00 – Gym/playground/table toys – Dismissal.
